The Application of Active Learning Methods in Agribusiness Vocational Education for the Improvement of Practical Skills

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of active learning methods in agribusiness vocational education on improving students' practical skills. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, data were obtained through observation, questionnaires, and skill tests before and after the implementation of the method. The research results show a significant improvement in the mastery of practical skills after the implementation of active learning methods such as group discussions, simulations, and direct practice. This method can enhance students' ability to apply the theories learned in field practice. Thus, they can become a ready-to-use and competent workforce in the field of agribusiness. In addition, the use of active learning methods can also increase students' interest in learning and prepare them to enter the workforce with relevant and high-quality skills. This study recommends the systematic use of active learning methods in the agribusiness vocational curriculum.
