The Determination of Featured Business Service Product Commodities (KPJU) in UMKM Development using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) in Central Lampung Regency

Abstract

This study aims KPJU Research on Leading UMKM in Central Lampung Regency will provide a rational basis for regional development covering various sectors of economic activity. The objectives of this research are as follows: providing information about leading commodities/products/types of business (KPJU) that must be prioritized for development in Central Lampung Regency and provide recommendations to the Regional Government in the context of developing superior KPJU for UMKM that are linked to regional government policies. Based on the research results, it is known that sectors/business fields for UMKM development in the leading KPJU in Central Lampung Regency based on their level of importance are respectively Agriculture and Livestock, Processing Industry, Services, Transportation/Transportation, Information and Communication, Fisheries, Forestry, Accommodation, Tourism, and Mining/Excavation. The 5 (five) leading KPJUs across sectors in Central Lampung Regency with the highest scores are various chips industry businesses, lowland rice cultivation businesses, beef cattle cultivation businesses, coffee plantation cultivation businesses, and agricultural product trading businesses. Development of UMKM in the Leading KPJU in Central Lampung Regency can be carried out through an integrated Cluster approach according to the value chain and supply chain from upstream to downstream and oriented towards efforts to increase productivity, added value and competitiveness. Specifically in the category of agricultural business fields (in the broadest sense), the development of Agropolitan, Minapolitan and Agribusiness Terminals that have been initiated/built need to be strengthened and continued on an ongoing and sustainable basis. The Leading KPJU Program in Central Lampung Regency in the context of developing UMKM needs to be confirmed through a Regent's Decree, and outlined in the RPJMD or Related SKPD Strategic Plan, so that it can become a reference for stakeholders and related parties in the preparation and implementation of policies and UMKM coaching/development program.
