Abstract

Community empowerment in improving the quality of mineral bottled drinking water requires primary assistance in fostering the entrepreneurial spirit in the lower middle economic group and business groups in the small sector in the community. The quality of drinking water is very influential because bottled water on the market consists of several brands and clarity levels contained in mineral water. Drinking water quality testing assistance is carried out in the Bandar Lampung area using simple tools, namely testing in the field of physics using the light diffraction method, the process of processing drinking water clarity by applying linear regression equations using the MS. Excel. The use of drinking water used is Bottled Drinking Water (AMDK), well water and PDAM water (Drinking Water Regional Company) the results of community service in testing the quality of bottled water show that the quality of drinking water with Tripanca, Aqua and Le Mineral brands has a high level of clarity of 1.34 to 1.37 NTU, well water has a poor or poor level of clarity of 1.64 NTU and PDAM water of 1.58 NTU.  Based on these results, it shows that the level of quality of drinking water clarity consumed by the community greatly affects the human body so that a distillation and disinfection process is needed that can be used safely by consumers.
